Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel & Spa is a 4-star hotel ideally located between Battersea Park, the River Thames, and the iconic Battersea Power Station, within London's vibrant Chelsea Wharf development. The hotel offers 217 bedrooms, eight meeting rooms, a restaurant, bar, and gym, welcoming both leisure and corporate guests.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, develop new business opportunities, and lead our sales initiatives across corporate, groups, and MICE segments.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities in line with the hotel's budget and revenue targets.
- Plan and execute client meetings, familiarisation trips, site inspections, sales blitzes, mailings, and other creative sales activities to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
- Lead, motivate, train, and mentor the sales team, ensuring high performance and achievement of sales objectives.
- Acquire new corporate clients and groups, proactively searching for new accounts.
- Manage and respond to corporate RFPs, including contracting and maintaining corporate accounts.
- Handle, convert, and contract MICE and group enquiries effectively.
- Prepare and deliver impactful sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials that clearly communicate the hotel's value proposition.
- Contribute to the development of the strategic sales plan, annual sales goals, budgets, forecasts, and action plans.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences, adapting strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, operations, and revenue management to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Ensure all client data in Opera is accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and present bi-weekly sales reports to the Director of Sales and/or the General Manager.
- Proactive, autonomous, and creative with a positive, solutions-driven attitude.
- Flexible and adaptable with a strong "can-do" mindset.
- Commercially driven with a strong hunter approach to new business development.
- Proven experience in the London market, with a strong focus on corporate and MICE business.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales role, ideally within hospitality.
- Previous experience in Meetings & Events is an advantage.
- Experience using Opera, Cvent and Salesforce is preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- Must be based in, or able to commute within, the London area.
