Experienced Pest Control Technician — Bristol & Bath
£30,000–£35,000 (dependent on experience) | Full-time, Permanent | Company van & phone provided
We’re looking for a confident, BPCA/RSPH Level 2-qualified pest control technician to join one of Bristol’s most established teams. If you’ve got hands‑on field experience and want more variety, better support and real opportunities to develop — this is worth a look.
Why join us
We’re a small, family‑run, independent pest control company and a Living Wage employer, trading in Bristol and the surrounding area for over 25 years. We’ve built a genuinely strong team of pest controllers and we’re expanding to keep pace with customer demand.
- Small Company of the Year 2017
- Top 3 Pest Control in Bristol, 8 years running
- Best Pest Control Company in Bristol — Quality Business Awards, 2024 & 2025
- Shortlisted, BPCA Commitment to Training Award
- Rated 5 stars by customers on Google
What you’ll be doing
- Attending jobs across Bristol/Bath (with some further travel) to carry out environmental surveys, risk assessments, pest investigation and treatment planning
- Running rodent treatment programmes, heat treatment for bed bugs, and insect control for fleas, moths, flies, silverfish and more
- Seasonal wasp, ant and bee work over the summer months
- Bird prevention work — netting, wire systems and spikes, including birdproofing on solar panel installations (full height-safety training and equipment provided)
- Completing digital evaluation reports after each visit and managing your own booking schedule and customer communication
- You’ll be the face of The Bristol Pest Controller for many of our clients, so this is a role for someone who’s as comfortable managing their own patch and talking to customers as they are diagnosing a difficult infestation.
What we’re looking for
- RSPH/BPCA Level 2 (or equivalent) held or in progress — if you’re not yet qualified but have relevant field experience, we’ll fund the training, but we’re prioritising candidates who already hold the qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence working at height (full training provided for our birdproofing/solar work)
- Strong customer-facing communication, both face-to-face and in writing
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- Available to work one Saturday in every four
What you’ll get
- £30,000–£35,000, based on experience
- Company van and mobile phone
- 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
- Nest pension (ethical provider)
- Full uniform and PPE, including safety boots
- BPCA registered ID card and ongoing CPD
- A personal development plan built around your goals
- Performance-based bonus
- A team-lead mentor on hand — support when you want it, not oversight you don’t need
