Job Title: Minibus DriverPay: GBP15.58phDuration: Ongoing – term time only (with school holidays and inset days off)Hours: 2.5 hours in the morning and 2.5 hours a day (Zero hours assignments are also available)Location: Nuneaton (CV11 6RP)What does the job entail?An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and reliable drivers to join Warwickshire County Council\’s Transport Delivery Team. We are trialling a new minibus fleet to provide home-to-school transport across several locations. As a Regular Route Driver, you will be responsible for transporting children safely to and from school, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.You will achieve this by:

  • Driving a designated school route in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff
  • Managing delays due to traffic or other unforeseen circumstances (additional time paid pro-rata)
  • Participating in mandatory training and route familiarisation

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

  • A valid D1 driving license (Full D1 preferred; D1 (101) pre-1997 accepted)
  • Commitment to working all term days (both morning and afternoon runs)
  • Strong customer service skills and a caring attitude towards young passenger
  • A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to driving
  • No requirement for a CPC qualification
