About the role

Reporting to the Head of Support and Inclusion for Wales, the Regional Manager will have line management responsibility for a group of Supported Living Managers, each of whom manage support teams working across 2 to 3 locations. You will work alongside two other Regional Managers in Wales and will be accountable for maintaining compliance with all the requirements of our regulators including CIW, Local Authority Commissioners and CHC (Continuing Health Care) Commissioners. This role is designed with expansion in mind and there is an expectation for the Regional Manager to take a lead on identifying business growth opportunities within our regions once they have established themselves into the role.

In your role, you’ll collaborate closely with Supported Living Managers to ensure the active involvement of the people we support. This includes aspects such as supporting the Supported Living Manager to select new staff and provide feedback on their performance during the probation process. Additionally, you’ll participate in policy reviews and conduct quality checking visits alongside the Supported Living Managers, drawing on your expertise by experience.

The Regional Managers work with the senior management team and meet regularly with the Head of Service and Inclusion to plan the work needed to achieve and maintain the standards set out in the organisational strategic plan, as reflected in the departmental work plan. The Perthyn Leadership Team structure is inclusive and enables inter-departmental project sharing which fosters a working together culture to achieve shared aims.

A highly motivated and experienced leader who can effectively manage teams, monitor progress, and identify trends. This individual should be proficient in using IT/Database systems to gather, analyse, and report information. They should also demonstrate a caring and professional ethos and can work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have the passion and creativity to drive change and move the business forward. They should be able to lead, manage, and motivate their managers, and have the vision, imagination, and determination to hit the ground running.
