Perthyn are a not for profit charity who support adults with learning disabilities. We are currently recruiting full time and part time male support workers. The Person
- Enthusiastic and willing to support others to try new things
- Committed to empowering people to enhance their independence
- A car driver and willing to drive vehicles for work purposes is preferred but not essential
- Flexible to work a range of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, wakeful nights, sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays.
The Role
Community support role for a male tenant in the Bingham area. Tenant prefers to receive support from male staff who can support him with pursuing interests such as DJing, the army and animals. The ideal staff member will be tolerant, resilient and a creative quick thinker – this tenant will be demanding of them at times. They should also be able to use humour and clear confident communication to resolve difficult situations. Working in a team of 15, candidates will be provided with comprehensive specialist training and ongoing support from Perthyn and local professionals. A driving licence would be a distinct advantage but not essential for all applicants.
