Perthyn is seeking aHealth and Safety Lead Officerto champion safety across our health and social care services. This is a pivotal role where your expertise will directly impact the well-being of both our staff and the people we support.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement health and safety policies tailored to health and social care.
Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments across multiple sites.
Lead training sessions and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Investigate incidents and liaise with regulatory bodies including the HSE.
Prepare environmental reports and maintain accreditation standards.
Collaborate across departments to integrate safety into all operations.
Lead the Health & Safety Consultative Committee and oversee fire safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
3–5 years’ experience in health and safety management, ideally in health and social care.
NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certification.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel across England and Wales with a full UK driving licence.
Experience with CQC and CIW compliance.
Fire risk assessment in specialist housing.
Train the Trainer qualification or similar.
Knowledge of environmental and psychological safety principles.
