Organisational Development and HR Systems Teams, 2 High Street, Perth

Earn while you earn with a Perth & Kinross Council Modern Apprenticeship! Are you aged 16-24 and looking for an opportunity to gain on the job experience whilst working towards a qualification? If so, this opportunity, within Perth & Kinross Council could be what you are looking for………….

We have a Level 2 or 3 Business and Administration Modern Apprenticeship available, working within our People and Culture Service. The role provides the opportunity to work within 2 teams, including Organisational Development and HR Systems.

During your time in Organisational Development

  • Supporting in developing training resources.
  • Supporting with our eLearning system.
  • Assisting with administration, such as managing event bookings.

During your time in HR Systems

  • Helping to keep HR information and records up to date.
  • Supporting the team with routine tasks.
  • Assist with producing management information and general system administration.

The role will involve working in busy, supportive environments and will allow you to gain customer service, IT and administration skills whilst building confidence and experience, working on your own initiative and within a team.

As a Modern Apprentice with Perth & Kinross Council there are also many opportunities to get involved in corporate events, networking connection events and take part in a community volunteering activity.

Skills & Experience Required

You must be an organised and structured individual, capable of prioritisation and working to tight deadlines, whilst being able to react as situations arise.

You must have a commitment to providing a high standard of customer service, communicating well both verbally and in writing.

You must be competent in the use of all Microsoft packages, but specifically Word, Outlook and Excel and be digitally competent and comfortable in learning new systems. It would also be beneficial to have an awareness of design platforms such as Canva.

You must be able to work well within a team environment, but also using your own initiative and able to seek solutions to problems.

You must be able to appropriately apply confidentiality when using and sharing information and have an awareness of the relevant legislation.

You must be sensitive to the needs of customers and colleagues and engage appropriately and positively.
