The predicted salary is between 26766 - 29131 £ per year.

You will be expected to carry out a range of duties which will include the daily supervision of staff within the activities operating under the foreman's control. You will ensure that work is undertaken, carried out and completed to the quality standards required according to instructions received and ensuring that safe working practices are adopted in accordance with instructions given and to monitor to ensure compliance.

The post holder is required to work on a variety of environment service tasks within the Grounds Maintenance Service such as triple and ride on rotary driving. Other duties would include driving trucks and trailers, operation of other ride on and hand powered grass cutting machinery plus performing any associated ground maintenance tasks such as weedkilling and any other Environment Service work as required including burial.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to competently operate and maintain a ride on grass cutting machine plus all other typical GM machinery. You must be a team player who understands the importance of good morale and proactively pursues good professional relationships with colleagues. You must be able to carry out the physical demands of the post. You must be able to do any paperwork associated with the post e.g., timesheets, work schedules, maintenance records etc. A knowledge of computers would also be beneficial.

You are required to be available to work on a standby basis working additional hours outside normal working hours, including weekdays. The Environment Service operates new ways of working which is a variable shift system involving weekend working. The contracted shift pattern will be a Grounds Maintenance shift pattern, 4 - 3 shift pattern. A PA1/6 in pesticide application would be an advantage. Full C1 + E licence and full CPC is essential.
