REACH is an innovative and exciting initiative to provide services for young people who are Looked After or at risk of becoming Looked After and therefore “on the edge of care”.

\\n

This initiative promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to providing community-based support to young people and to their families and will reduce reliance on traditional residential care options for vulnerable young people.

\\n

Young people who enter care during their teenage years traditionally spend considerable periods of time in residential care, separated from their family and local community. We know that this is detrimental to achieving their potential and in meeting key outcomes.

\\n

We have recognised the need to transform our approach to supporting vulnerable young people and their families and this new service has been specifically designed to do so in a more integrated, co-ordinated way.

\\n

Based within REACH you will work in a busy, supportive environment which will allow you to gain skills required to follow a career in Youth Work, whilst also building confidence and experience, working on your own initiative and within a team.
