Due to retirement, we have a vacancy for a Senior School Technician at Pitlochry High School, initially on a 1 year Fixed term basis, 2 days per week.
\\n
Pitlochry High School is an All Through School, within pupils ranging from 2 yrs in Nursery through to 16 years in Secondary. Pitlochry is a beautiful town in rural Perthshire.
\\n
Working as a whole School Senior Technician you will support the teaching staff to facilitate learning and teaching at all levels.
\\n
You will also be expected to assist in providing support to the wider school, carrying out routine safety checks, setting up rooms e.g. audio visual, and various routine maintenance tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
A willingness to complete the MiDAS course would be ideal, although not essential.

Ideally, you will have the following experience:
\\n

- Experience of working in a science and/or technology environment.
- Experience of working within an educational or other appropriate technical or laboratory environment.
- Working knowledge of hardware such as audio visual and information technology equipment.
- You will be IT literate.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH
- Be willing to undertake such training courses as may be appropriate.

You must be familiar with COSHH regulations and with the safe handling of chemicals
Ideally you will hold either an SVQ Level 3 or SCQF level 6 in Science or equivalent qualification
