This role will require you to demonstrate experience of multi-disciplinary working and to collaborate closely with colleagues from other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- To provide comprehensive administrative support to Partnership Managers and professional staff.
- To provide a comprehensive minute taking service for Adult Support and Protection, Adults With Incapacity, Guardianship Case Conferences and various other meetings.
- Prepare and distribute minutes to comply with service delivery demands and departmental policy and procedures.
- To organise small and large-scale meetings effectively.
- To ensure the production and distribution of quality minutes within set timescales.
- To provide a back-up minute taking service to other staff.
- Use Word Processing equipment and software to produce reports, memoranda, letters and spreadsheets from audiotapes or other forms of condensed written drafts or other paperwork.
- Interrogate databases and update and input data as required.
- To make and receive internal/external calls, dealing with enquiries personally, or obtaining or passing on information or referring caller to an appropriate source.
- Maintain various records, registers and statistical information, both manually and computerised; ensuring financial and administrative procedures are adhered to.
- Participate in working groups/inter-departmental meetings concerned with service development and practice.
- Filing and photocopying duties.
- Undertake any other duties which may be allocated as required.
- Participate in and undergo further training as required to enhance individual performance.
Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a clerical. You must be highly motivated, empathetic and have excellent communication skills. Shortlisted candidates are expected to meet all the requirements stated in the job profile as follows.
Knowledge & Experience
- Excellent word processing skills (Typing speed of 50 wpm).
- Experience of working within an office environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
- Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate forward planning.
- Excellent minute taking skills with the ability to transcribe comprehensive minutes to a high standard.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – including PowerPoint and Excel.
Customer Care
- Ability to deal with members of the public and a commitment to customer care.
Health & Safety
- Personal responsibility for taking care of yourself and others and must comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
- Undertake any Health & Safety training relevant to the post.
