We currently have the following opportunity: Principal Teacher, Intensive Support Provision - PKC13752 ÂŁ64,659 Inch View Primary School, Perth.

Inch View Primary School is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Principal Teacher to lead our well-established Intensive Support Provision (ISP). This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for children and young people with complex additional support needs. Our ISP has two classes with around 8-10 children in each class. In each classroom there is a Class Teacher and Pupil Support Assistants.

You will lead a small, skilled team of Teachers and Pupil Support Assistants, ensuring high-quality learning experiences that meet individual needs and promote wellbeing, independence, and achievement. The Principal Teacher will teach in one of the classes part of the week and have time out of the classroom to support the staff to ensure the needs of all children in the ISP are being met. You will work with the school senior leadership team to plan the improvement priorities for the ISP and lead the quality assurance activities. The Principal Teacher is the point of contact for parents/carers and partner agencies and will lead communication regarding the ISP. The Principal Teacher will be required to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and ISP team, families, and partners to promote inclusion. You will be responsible for leading the improvement planning to improve outcomes for our children through individual planning and target setting.

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for an experienced, positive and reflective teacher who is committed to supporting children with a range of additional support needs including supporting children with autism, ADHD, social and communication difficulties, and sensory difficulties. We are looking for a positive and creative person who will lead the curriculum planning and lead the team to create an environment that is inclusive and incorporates visual supports, sensory learning activities, a communication friendly environment including promoting the use of Makaton and SCERTS Assessment. A relevant degree in Education and knowledge and experience of complex additional support needs would be advantageous.
