We currently have the following opportunity: Teacher of Biology with Science.
Are you ready to inspire the next generation of scientists? If so, Perth Grammar School is looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Biology and Science Teacher. The Science faculty delivers classes across the Broad General Education and a variety of courses being offered throughout the Senior Phase encompassing a range of SCQF level pathways including Biology, Rural Skills, Energy, Scientific Technologies, Lab Science and Foundation Apprenticeships.
As the successful candidate, you must demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage with young people and show that they fully understand the values and principles of a Curriculum for Excellence and the Senior Phase. A commitment to high quality learning and teaching, along with a willingness to contribute positively to the wider life of the school, is essential. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to whole school initiatives that support wider achievement and interdisciplinary learning. This includes involvement in project based learning opportunities, and supporting learners to develop skills for learning, life and work through innovative, real world contexts.

Eligibility & Legal Requirements
GTCS registration is required. Working with children and/or protected adults is a regulated role and under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 you will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have lived overseas for a period of 12 months or more (continuous or total) within the last 10 years, whilst over the age of 18, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
