Main Purpose of the Role

We currently have the following opportunity: Quality Improvement Officer - Secondary, 2 Posts (Fixed Term until 31 March 2027) - PKC13493.

Perth & Kinross Council is looking for two secondary Quality Improvement Officers who want to make a positive impact on the lives of children, young people and families across Perth and Kinross. Are you an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner looking to take on a new challenge and apply learning as part of a supportive, innovative, and high performing team? If so, we welcome an application from you.

As a Quality Improvement Officer, you will lead on an area of development within either Learning, Teaching, Assessment, and Curriculum (LTAC) or the Leadership, Performance, and Quality Improvement Partnership (LPIP). You will also have a key role in working alongside secondary school leaders, across Perth and Kinross. You will be responsible for providing effective support and challenge to schools and will work closely with colleagues across all sectors in partnership with a range of services and organisations.

This is a fixed term or secondment opportunity available until 31 March 2027 on Quality Improvement Officer terms and conditions of employment. Your salary will be on the Quality Improvement Officer grade salary scale. If applying for a secondment, all candidates should seek approval from their line manager and place of employment before applying. Please note that secondment requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for these posts.

Skills & Experience Required

You must have full GTCS registration, a relevant degree and/or a post graduate qualification (education). You must have a valid driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.

You will be required to provide this check. GTCS registration is required. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of the above mentioned mandatory pre-employment checks (including references) and will also include eligibility to work in the UK, qualifications and fitness to undertake the post.
