Main Purpose of the Role

We currently have the following opportunity: Pupil Support Assistant (Fixed Term until 31 May 2027) - PKC13797 £13,814 - £14,553 (21.5 Hours per week, Term-time only) Inch View Primary School, Perth.

We are looking for a compassionate, dynamic Pupil Support Assistant to join our dedicated Pupil Support team at Inch View Primary School. In this role, you'll make a real difference by supporting children with additional support needs (ASN) to access a meaningful and inclusive curriculum. You'll work closely with teachers and colleagues to help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, and in class.
  • Assisting with positive behaviour approaches.
  • Helping pupils during transitions, breaks, and school activities.
  • Supporting intimate care routines where needed.
  • Using ICT to enhance learning.
  • Contributing to personal learning plans and inclusive practice.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children/young people with ASN.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.

  • Experience with ICT, moving & handling, and behaviour support is desirable but not essential.

You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of the above mentioned mandatory pre-employment checks (including references) and will also include eligibility to work in the UK, qualifications and fitness to undertake the post.
