Main Purpose of the Role

We currently have the following opportunity: Primary Support Worker (Fixed Term until 31 March 2027) - PKC13948 £9,637 - £10,153 (15 Hours per week, Term-time only) Letham Primary School, Perth. We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Support Worker to join our fantastic Pupil Support team at Letham Primary School. In this role, you'll make a real difference by supporting children with additional support needs (ASN) to access a meaningful and inclusive curriculum. You'll work closely with teachers and colleagues to help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, and in class.
- Assisting with positive behaviour approaches.
- Helping pupils during transitions, breaks, and school activities.
- Supporting intimate care routines where needed.
- Using ICT to enhance learning.
- Contributing to individual learning plans and inclusive practice.
- Making playtime and lunchtime enjoyable for children.
- Using a restorative approach to manage situations.

Skills & Experience Required
- Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children/young people with ASN.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
- Commitment to supporting the care and welfare of all pupils and to undertake training required.
- Experience with ICT and behaviour support is desirable but not essential.
