An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Assistant to provide a comprehensive and high level of administrative support for Business Services within the Education and Learning service based at 2 High Street, Perth.
You will process enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders such as the general public, external agencies, Council staff at all levels as well as Elected Members and be expected to do this promptly, efficiently and accurately.
We are looking for a flexible, focused and enthusiastic individual who has experience in an administrative role. Excellent diary management is essential to be effective in the role, as is the ability to provide minute taking to a high standard. You should have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills as this is a busy and demanding role with often conflicting priorities. You will therefore work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be required to assist with other tasks across the wider team.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience of providing comprehensive administrative support.
- The ability to proactively forward plan and manage your own workload to achieve deadlines.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to evaluate the significance and urgency of information received and take appropriate action.
- The ability to perform tasks to a high level of accuracy, applying good attention to detail, and be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- The ability to resolve and respond independently to a variety of problems and situations.
- The ability to sensitively and discreetly process highly confidential information.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to perform diary management to successfully co-ordinate and manage senior officer’s diaries to plan school visits and internal/external meetings.
- The ability to provide minute taking to a high standard.
- Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 packages.
