We currently have the following opportunity: Senior Early Childhood Practitioner – PKC13803 £29,479 - £32,356 (Term-time only) Milnathort Primary School Early Learning and Childcare.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Early Childhood Practitioner (SECP) based at Milnathort Early Learning and Childcare. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to progress in Early Learning and Childcare. The successful candidate will be contracted to work 36 hours term time. Our aim is to provide child-centred Early Learning and Childcare (aged 2-5 years) which reflects and responds to the individual needs of all children and families.

Candidates will be responsible for supporting and motivating a small team, ensuring children have access to high quality learning experiences which are responsive to children's needs and interests. You will assist in the organisation and management of the service for the benefit of all children, families and the wider community.

Skills & Experience Required

You must be able to work on your own initiative and as a team member who directly contributes to and supports colleagues in the development of a flexible childcare and early education service, which is appropriate to the needs of young children and their families in the centre and its surrounding community, within the context of both authority and nursery policies and procedures. The Senior Early Childhood Practitioner (SECP) will provide effective management support to the Headteacher and take a lead role in all aspects of children's early education and childcare as required and directed by the Head Teacher.

You must have SNNB/HNC/SVQ 3 in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be currently registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a practitioner. You must be able to evidence additional studies e.g. PDA or modules from a relevant degree and have a commitment to work towards a qualification to allow registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Lead Practitioner e.g BA Childhood Practice within SSSC timescales.
