Main Purpose of the Role

We currently have the following opportunity: Teacher of Craft, Design and Technology - PKC13896. This is a full time permanent position for a Teacher of CDT in our Technologies Faculty at Kinross High School from August 2026. Applications are welcome from experienced practitioners and those currently completing their probationer year.
Kinross High School is seeking to appoint a motivated and committed Teacher of CDT to join our successful and supportive faculty. The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality learning and teaching in English and literacy across the curriculum. Our successful candidate will teach at all levels and ensure consistently positive outcomes for all learners. We are a high attaining school with a strong culture of achievement, underpinned by positive relationships between staff and pupils. Our young people come to school ready to learn, respond well to high expectations and take pride in their achievements. The successful candidate will play a key role in sustaining and further improving attainment, while contributing to our forward-thinking approach to learning, teaching and wellbeing.

Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for an excellent classroom teacher with a proven track record of raising attainment across BGE Technologies and senior phase courses such as Graphic Communication, Design and Manufacture, Practical Woodwork and Creative Thinking. The successful candidate will have secure subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, motivating and challenging lessons that support learners to achieve at the highest level appropriate to them. The ideal candidate will be inclusive and nurturing, with experience of differentiated learning to meet the needs of all learners. You will demonstrate high expectations, a strong commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to create a positive, supportive classroom environment where young people feel valued, confident and able to succeed. You will be GTCS registered (or eligible for registration) and committed to reflective practice and professional learning. A willingness to work collaboratively, contribute to the wider life of the school and support our positive ethos is essential.
