We currently have the following opportunity: Quality Monitoring Officer - PKC13674 £17,088 - £18,777 (14.4 Hours per week) Loch Leven Community Campus, Kinross.

In this role you will provide leadership and operational management of long-term Care at Home support packages. Overall, the post involves providing effective leadership, supporting with strategic overview and development of improvement plans. You will ensure adherence to policies and procedures, including HR and Health and safety input. You will promote quality standards through robust and effective communication with multi-agency partners. The successful candidate will be required to work Thursday and Fridays. This is part of a job share arrangement with the other postholder working towards flexible retirement at the end of 2027; therefore, there may be opportunity in the future for these hours to be increased.

We support Adults age 16+ across all geographic areas of Perth and Kinross, but this post will focus on the South locality. This work is supported by a range of partners including NHS and 3rd sector organisations. Our aim is to enable people to live more independently in their communities - providing care and support at the right time, in the right place, when it is most needed.

The successful applicant will assist in maintaining quality of Care for people in the community by providing the monitoring of independent providers of Care at Home, ensuring they have the support they require by working closely with integrated locality teams and commissioning. You will have the opportunity to participate in on-the-job training and your continuous development will be encouraged and supported. Requirements

You must be able to work autonomously ensuring appropriate services and pathways are planned and arranged in a timely and effective manner.

  • Practice – Essential to hold: SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 7 (Was SVQ3).
  • Supervisory / Management – Essential to hold or be working towards: PDA Health and Social Care Supervision. A qualification that contains at least 15 credits at SCQF level 7 of supervision or management theory and practice specifically for a supervisor of a care service.
Essential Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to supervise and support Reviewing Officers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across services and with external providers.
  • Ability to analyse performance information, collaborate with services / creatively secure appropriate services, and identify improvements in delivery.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex care situations.
  • Commitment to person-centred, safe, and high-quality care aligned to Care Inspectorate standards and Health and Social Care Standards.
  • Ability to work under own initiative, manage competing demands, prioritise workload effectively, and adapt to changing service needs.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to equality and dignity at work principles.
  • You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
