We currently have the following opportunity:

Refuse Collection Operative - £27,010 - £28,455 at Pitlochry Depot. Perth & Kinross Council aims to provide the residents of the Perth & Kinross area with a reliable refuse collection service.

As a Refuse Collection Loader, you will provide an invaluable service to the residents of the Perth & Kinross area, ensuring that their refuse is collected on a regular basis. Your role will require you to collect waste and load it into a refuse collection vehicle on a specified route, uplift various types of waste, assist the drivers with the manoeuvring of the vehicle, and perform any other tasks required by the service. You will be required to comply with the safe systems of work for refuse collection.

This role operates on a shift pattern, contracted from Friday to Monday (36 hours per week). You will also be expected to be available to work on a standby basis, which may include working outside of your normal hours and being part of a standby rota. Works covered on standby are usually planned in advance but may also be unforeseeable, requiring you to be available at short notice.
