Main Purpose of the Role

We are looking to appoint a positive and reflective teacher who has experience in supporting children with additional support needs including autism, ADHD, social, communication and sensory difficulties. Relevant experience from mainstream settings will also be considered valuable.
The ideal candidate will be creative and able to plan a curriculum, create an inclusive environment incorporating visual supports, sensory learning activities, a communication friendly environment, and promote the use of Makaton.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated team at Inch View committed to providing an excellent education for all young people and promoting an ethos of inclusion.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate flexibility and understanding of approaches to meet a range of complex learner needs. The individual will be able to listen to and be responsive to learner needs. You should demonstrate a range of teaching skills, enthusiasm to further develop and build on the valuable learner experiences within our Intensive Support Provision. The successful candidate will be committed to continually enhancing knowledge and skills through working collegiately and through CPD. The ability to work as part of a team is essential. In your role you will be leading and working with support staff, a range of multi-agency partners and parents/carers, so excellent communication skills are essential.
