Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated primary or secondary qualified individual to embrace this exciting opportunity in our newly created post – BGE Teacher of Technologies at Blairgowrie High School. This role sits at the heart of our dynamic and expanding Technologies Department, offering the chance to inspire pupils through innovative approaches and contribute meaningfully to shaping the future of technology education within our school. Skills & Experience Required

We are searching for an inspiring educator who brings hands-on experience in designing and delivering captivating and stimulating learning experiences, tailored to ensure every learner thrives. If you are passionate about education and adept at creating lessons that truly spark curiosity and engagement, we want to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, celebrated for their ability to forge and strengthen positive relationships and champion collaborative approaches within the school community. Your proven communication skills will enable you to connect meaningfully with learners, families, colleagues, and partners, all in pursuit of better outcomes for our young people. We are especially keen to hear from individuals with a genuine enthusiasm for digital learning, and a real passion for empowering young people to harness technology and shape a creative and innovative future.

The newly created Technologies Faculty at Blairgowrie High School brings together our Design and Technology Department as well as our Computing Department, fostering an environment where innovative digital learning thrives. This position would be ideal for a Primary Teacher with a keen interest in technology and in using digital tools to enhance learning for our young people, or for a qualified Secondary teacher in Computing or Design and Technology.

A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of the above mentioned mandatory pre-employment checks (including references) and will also include eligibility to work in the UK, qualifications and fitness to undertake the post.
