St John’s RC Academy, North Inch Community Campus, Perth, set at the top of Perth’s North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus. Our 2-18 all-through school provides education for over twelve hundred children and young people from nursery to S6. The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of the art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.

St John’s RC Academy is looking to recruit a Depute Head Teacher within the primary department of our all-through school. The successful candidate will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team with the aim to deliver universal and targeted support for our young people and their families, enabling them to excel within school, achieve their best and transition to positive destinations. This role will have responsibility for overseeing P5-7.

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Depute Head Teacher who can work collaboratively within a large team and be an inspiring leader for others. You should have experience of planning, delivering, engaging, and stimulating learning experiences which meet the needs of all learners.

The successful candidate will be an excellent leader, with a track record of forming and developing excellent relationships and collaborative working practices with pupils, parents, and staff. You will have excellent communication skills and have experience of positively engaging learners, families, colleagues, and partners.

The successful candidate will be data literate; will be able to gather and analyse complex data and communicate how this can make improvements across the school. You will be committed to living out and promoting the Gospel values and our school values of fairness, achievement, respect, and love through being an outstanding role model for others.

A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of the above mentioned mandatory pre-employment checks (including references) and will also include eligibility to work in the UK, qualifications and fitness to undertake the post.
