We currently have the following opportunity: Breakfast Club Supervisor (Fixed Term until 31 March 2027) - PKC14170 £3,855 - £4,061 (6 Hours per week, Term-time only) Perth Academy.
Perth Academy serves the areas of Letham, Viewlands, Balbeggie, Scone, Collace and Burrelton. The school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from S1 to S6. As a Rights Respecting School, committed to enabling all young people to enact their rights, we want to ensure that all pupils have access to a proper breakfast. Article 27 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child says that children and young people should be able to live in a way that helps them reach their full physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social potential. For this to happen, they should have access to adequate food and housing. Over the last 10 years, Perth Academy’s ‘More than just Toast’ Breakfast club has delivered over 10,000 breakfasts.
About the Role
This position will manage our breakfast club provision, encouraging children to have a nutritious breakfast in a relaxed environment and to generate social engagement and participation in group or independent activity. Duties include:
- Oversee the preparation of the breakfast room to support the club activity.
- Manage the provision of high-quality activities which meet group and individual needs.
- Modelling the school vision and values.
- Talking & listening to the children and encourage a happy atmosphere.
- Contribute to the work of the staff team through active communication with the support team.
- Attend relevant training and development opportunities.
- Work within the policies and procedures of the service and contribute to their regular review including equal opportunities and equality of access.
- Implement all policies and procedures relating to the safeguarding and protection of children, including the recording and reporting of concerns.
- Work to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children attending the service.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate registration and attendance information.
