The North Locality team is a busy rural social work team working with adults and their unpaid carers to achieve identified outcomes. The team serves a large geographical area and provides a wide range of care and support interventions and services. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with a flexible approach, who is able to manage their time effectively and produce accurate, high‐quality work, often to tight timescales.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to be at the centre of developing and shaping a new role within the North Locality, Strathmore (Blairgowrie) Adult Care Social Work Team. We are seeking a self‐motivated and dedicated Social Worker with an enthusiastic and positive approach to practice, who will work predominantly with care home residents and their families. This is a full‐time, permanent post of 36 hours per week, with flexibility in relation to how a hybrid working approach would best suit you.

Guided by the values of compassion, integrity and ambition, our teams make a real difference every day. Within the North Locality Social Work Team, you will be part of a service that puts people first, champions rights‐based and person‐centred practice, and values relationship‐based approaches to improving lives.

The role will include:

  • Carrying out comprehensive reviews, assessments of need and risk management plans.
  • Undertaking statutory work under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act and the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act.
  • Responding to care home incident reports and adult protection referrals, and making informed recommendations in line with adult protection procedures.
  • Building trusting and effective partnerships with care home managers.
  • Fostering positive working relationships with partner agencies.
  • Ensuring services are aligned with Care Inspectorate and Health and Social Care Standards.
  • Maintaining accurate written reports and records as required.

We offer a collaborative and inclusive environment where your voice matters, your wellbeing is supported, and your professional development is encouraged.

You must hold a recognised Social Work Qualification (Degree in Social Work, DIPSW, CQSW, CSS or other relevant Social Work qualification) and be registered as a Social Worker with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
