Main Purpose of the Role

A temporary opportunity covering maternity leave has arisen for a Business Assistant to join our team at Bertha Park High School. You will be working in the school office as part of a team providing an administrative service to staff, young people and families, as well as the wider school community.

You will be required to carry out a varied range of clerical tasks to support business operations and display good ICT skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365. There is also an opportunity for an additional 11 hours per week up to 29 January 2027, subject to further approval later in the year.

Skills & Experience Required

Everyone on the team will need to work together and be ready to do whatever it takes to provide the experiences our young people deserve. It is essential to have experience of working within a busy environment and prioritise tasks accordingly. You must be able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents as well as external agencies. There are many online systems and packages that we use in the office and full training will be given on these, so you must be willing to learn. Ideally, we are looking for someone who will embrace school life, keen to develop their knowledge and skills and work well as part of a wider school team.
