Workplace IT Engineer 2nd – Line Support– Ongoing Temp – £174 per day PAYE or £225 per day (Umbrella Rate)

Local Authority is seeking a Workplace IT Engineer to joint their IT & Digital Services department their West London offices.

This is an ongoing temporary position to start ASAP and will pay £174 per day PAYE or £225 per day (Umbrella)

This is a site based role and will involve working across locations withing the borough. Driving license is essential.

The Workplace IT Engineer will provide 2nd line support and delivery of workplace technology support to staff, including provision of hardware, software and support. They will resolve 1st and 2nd line issues at council sites, via drop-ins or using telephony and remote-control functions.

The ideal Workplace IT Engineer will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Ability to do in depth troubleshooting and backend analysis.
  • Able to adapt to, and work with, other Digital services teams to resolve users’ issues.
  • Be involved with new technology and project work.
  • Install or decommission devices at office locations – to include cabling from floor to desk and patch panel to switch level.
  • Prioritise escalations from Service Management, providing regular and timely updates.
  • Support print service issues and log issue with Ricoh when needed.
  • Manage VIPs and escalations.
