About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our client’s finance team in Wolverhampton. This is a varied role that will give you exposure to all areas of accounts, with a strong focus on credit control. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices and raising customer invoices
- Carrying out credit control duties and managing outstanding debt
- Reconciling customer and supplier accounts
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and supporting VAT returns/month-end procedures
- Managing employee expenses and general finance administration
Qualifications
- Previous experience or exposure to an Accounts/Finance environment
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- AAT qualification (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Credit control experience is essential
