A major player in the Supply Chain market is seeking several Warehouse Operatives to be based at their Haydock Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders by selecting and preparing products for shipment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working in either ambient, chilled or freezer environment (PPE and extra breaks will be provided).
- Reviewing order requirements.
- Locating and picking products using hand scanners.
- Operating equipment such as manual pallet trucks, PPT's and trollies.
- Loading vehicles.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Communicating and working as part of a team.
An ideal Warehouse Operative will hold the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience working within a warehouse environment ideally within a distribution industry.
- "Can Do" attitude.
- PPT experience and ideally a valid licence.
- Willingness to work either in a chilled or freezer department.
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and standards.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Ability to work within a team to achieve daily targets.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
