Your opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Cardiff team. This role offers the chance to develop your skills across a diverse range of projects, contribute to business growth, and collaborate within a supportive, professional environment. As part of a large national consultancy, you will have the opportunity to manage and contribute to high–profile projects across South Wales, working on schemes in sectors such as tall buildings, student accommodation, education, and emergency services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work within a design team to produce calculations, reports, and detailed design solutions.
- Use specialist CAD and BIM (Revit) software to design compliant building systems.
- Undertake design calculations to demonstrate compliance with client requirements.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections, capturing relevant data for ongoing projects.
- Review construction design details and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors.
- Attend project group and technical meetings.
- Ensure building system designs meet all legislative, health, and safety requirements.
Experience and Skills Required
- Proven experience in delivering design solutions from conception to completion, including calculations, drawings, and specifications aligned with RIBA stages and BSRIA BG6.
- Degree or higher qualification in Building Services Engineering (HNC/HND acceptable).
- Experience with Revit is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Amtech or OEM calculation software is beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Eligibility for professional registration (EngTech/IEng/CEng) is supported.
