The company are an established and leading manufacturer of transportation and product movement solutions supplied globally. Pertemps are working on their behalf to recruit a QHSE Manager to lead and further develop the quality, health and safety and environmental management systems across their manufacturing sites.
Salary: highly competitive / negotiable.
Working Hours: Days – Monday to Friday. (7am to 4pm Mon-Thurs) & (7am to 1pm – Friday)
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and continually improve the quality management system in line with ISO9001 (and other standards as applicable).
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third party accreditation audits.
- Investigate product quality issues, non-conformance and customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee quality control procedures, inspection process and documentation standards.
- Partner with production teams to ensure quality checkpoints are embedded in daily operations.
- Ensure full compliance with all UK HSE legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, incident investigations and any hazard reporting.
- Deliver and develop health and safety training, toolbox talks and employee briefings.
- Support environmental compliance activities, including waste management, emissions monitoring, sustainability initiatives.
- Provide QHSE guidance to managers, supervisors and staffing.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a QHSE management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health and safety legislation and ISO standards.
- Experience conducting audits, investigations and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Holding a NEBOSH certification would be advantageous but not essential.
- Lead auditing skills would be advantageous.
- Good organisational skills and able to multi-task.
