Salary: Up to £41,500 per annum (full-time)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, award-winning training provider and college, rated Good with Outstanding features by Ofsted, dedicated to developing the next generation of skilled electrical professionals.

We currently have two exciting positions available:

  • Apprenticeship Tutor: 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) – onsite delivery
  • Apprenticeship Assessor: Full-time, home-based with regional travel

This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, qualified professionals who are Assessor qualified and have hands-on experience as an Electrician or in a related vocational electrical field to make a real impact on learners’ careers while enjoying a supportive and flexible working environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering high-quality Level 3 Electrical Installation and Maintenance training, ensuring lessons are engaging, practical, and aligned with apprenticeship standards
  • Assessing and supporting learners throughout their programme, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance to help them successfully achieve their qualifications
  • Managing a caseload of learners depending on delivery arrangements, monitoring progress, and providing tailored support to meet individual learner needs
  • Using a single e-portfolio system to track learner progress, record assessments, and maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance and quality assurance purposes
  • Visiting employers and learners to maintain strong relationships, ensure compliance with funding and health & safety requirements, and provide support to maximise learner engagement and performance
  • Attending team collaboration sessions and contributing to programme development, sharing best practice, and helping continuously improve training delivery and learner outcomes

What we’re looking for:

  • Assessor qualified (e.g., A1 / TAQA)
  • Level 3 Electrical qualification
  • Vocational competence as an Electrician or in a related electrical field
  • Strong communication, organisation, and mentoring skills
  • Passion for coaching and developing learners
  • Willingness to travel locally for the Assessor role (mileage reimbursed) and occasionally stay overnight
