A brand new opportunity to join a dynamic business, we are looking for an exceptional administrator that enjoys a varied hands-on role – you will support the Group Supply Chain Team Leader and be their “right hand person”. You will be a proactive person and have experience within a similar role within supply chain. You will be joining a well-established manufacture distribution business who employ over 150 people across the group.
Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Group Supply Chain Administrator is to support the Group Supply Chain Team Leader to provide a cost-effective supply chain, where supplier on time delivery, stock availability and product quality are our main focus, using their extensive experience of planning and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Issuing Purchase Orders
- Order Summary Processing (OSP), to issue Purchase Orders and Subcon Orders
- Placing orders against forecasted or Reorder Point (ROP) products
- Placing orders for all other items to demand (supplier lead time)
- Expediting Purchase Orders
- Regular contact with all suppliers to ensure deliveries are received on time and in full, and to maintain system comments and due date, reflecting key supporting information
- To elevate to the Group Supply Chain Team Leader any deliveries that could lead to back orders or customer delays
- Finance – tracking and liaising supplier payments, ensure any financial issues are smoothly and quickly resolved
- Warehouse – to ensure the smooth flow of material into the business and answer any product queries
- Advise sales team with up-to-date price increases
- Updates on inbound supplier deliveries
- General Purchasing
- None conforming deliveries (NCD’s) raised and closed in a timely manner
- Resolve invoice queries
- Checking all order confirmations match
- Weekly review of all supplier and customer back orders
- Keep electronic filing up to date
- Complete purchase orders (where agreed) as per schedule
- Maintain group availability target of 95%
Skills Required
- Previous administration experience (essential)
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team (Essential)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail (Essential)
- Strong organisational skills (Essential)
- Ability to work well under pressure (Essential)
- Previous Microsoft office experience (Essential)
- Previous supply chain experience (Preferred but not essential)
