We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering consultancy based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
  • Provide technical leadership, carrying out detailed structural analysis and design.
  • Oversee and review the work of junior engineers and technicians, offering mentorship and guidance.
  • Manage client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng preferred).
  • Chartered status (MIStructE/CEng) or working towards full chartership.
  • Proven experience delivering structural designs across multiple sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.
