This is a great entry role into Thames Water and the energy industry. The role will involve developing knowledge about the energy industry, energy markets, pricing & billing. You will be assisting with the management of one of the largest energy portfolios in the UK and have the chance to get involved with improving processes. This full-time role will provide you with an opportunity in a great company and a role that gives you exposure to multiple business units.

What you’ll be doing as an Energy Billing Analyst:

  • Understand and learn the capabilities of the energy database and billing tool, and deliver a streamlined bill validation process
  • Follow the query resolution processes using various supplier systems
  • Manage purchase orders and support the payment process within SAP
  • Transfer of new electricity and gas supplies to the contract and support new connection applications
  • Supporting electricity and gas disconnection applications
  • Produce ad-hoc and required contractual reports
  • Provide analytical support to the wider commercial energy team
  • Ensure operational issues are raised at contracts meetings and processes are implemented and optimised to support the operational requirements

Base location: Reading - Hybrid

Working pattern or hours: 36 hours per week

  • Experience with SAP and Purchase orders
  • Experience with Energy tariffs
  • Advanced Excel / Power BI
