Pay rate: £33.50 per hour
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated MASH team. As part of the MASH Team for a local authority in the North East, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families to intervene early and provide support. Your role involves working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, guided by the values and principles of social care. You will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services, using your professional knowledge to make assessments and determine appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes through your interventions, striving to provide the best possible results for children. Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting children and families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
- Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach.
- Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and understanding of child protection issues.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement for better outcomes.
- Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills with children and families.
- Committed to high-quality service provision.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary, interagency teams.
- 4+ years qualified experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection needs, and social care requirements.
- Manage an agreed caseload.
- Utilize specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop individual care plans respecting diversity, dignity, and empowerment.
- Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students to aid their development.
