Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the London Critical Infrastructure team at Thames Water, as we continue to invest in improving the environment and creating a more sustainable water system. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day project activities, supporting contract administration, and ensuring robust document control and governance across all projects. This is a key role, with responsibility for keeping the team organised and running smoothly.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple priorities in a safety-critical, regulated infrastructure environment.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Administrator
- Project and office administration.
- Coordinate activities across the team, provide & deliver reports, presentations & analysis of data to support meetings.
- Support the Rail Engagement Lead and Street Work Coordinators in gathering access requirements. Support delivery through progress tracking and reporting.
- Arrange and facilitate meetings, taking minutes and follow up on actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with the Bentley Central Document Environment (BCDE) for all SRE project documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
- Assist with Health and Safety activities across the team.
Location and Package
Location – Hybrid 2 days a week from a London or Thames Valley Office
Salary – £35,265 to £39,000 depending on experience
36 hours a week

What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
- Experience working within a delivery-focused team and a good understanding of project delivery processes.
- A self-starter with a calm, methodical and analytical approach.
- Ability to “own the process” and be proactive with contractors.
- Excellent communicator externally and internally. (Written, verbal, presentation skills)
- Open and honest style, with an excellent telephone manner and the ability to follow up and ask for answers.
- Ability to mentor & transfer skills to others.
- Good understanding of customer expectations and our customer base.
- Working knowledge and Intermediate level of Office IT Systems. (including MS Office (Excel, Word), MS Outlook E-mail)
- Problem solving, decision making in relation to planning tasks.
- Database administration experience, including data entry and basic reporting.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring
- SAP / CRM experience would be ideal.
