We are looking for a Planned Maintenance Optimisation Specialist – BHS.

The role is responsible for owning all aspects of the Blockage Hotspot programme. You’ll lead the creation, tendering, and delivery of the programme, ensuring it stays on time and within budget. You\’ll manage all costs and payments in line with approved methodologies and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and finance. The role also includes identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive continuous improvement.

What you will be doing as a Planned Maintenance Optimisation Specialist – BHS

  • Manage the BHS programme to deliver the correct surveys and cleaning within the programme.
  • Ensure that the contractors understand the TW requirements and work to the TW guidelines, in particular for Health and Safety.
  • Work with the Operations Data – Capacity and Insights team to create the annual work pack for Blockage Hotspots.
  • Engage with Finance to obtain funding for the programme, raise relevant Purchase Orders and work with the Commercial and Contracts teams to ensure that all costs are controlled.
  • Create and maintain a quality management framework that can be used to report programme performance; identify trends in good and poor performance and data capture, to share best practices and develop solutions to address poor performance.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports to the Performance Manager, Maintenance and Data Quality and other senior Managers as required.
  • Ensure that all people and HR processes are adhered to and support the Team to adhere to the same processes, also ensuring that regular performance and personal development meetings are held.

To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:

  • Excellent knowledge of Purchasing and Invoicing.
  • Experience of managing programmes of work.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement.
  • Good analytical, problem‑solving, reasoning and negotiating skills.
  • Good data analysis skills with high levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
