We are recruiting for an experienced part-time Legal Assistant to work for a small firm of solicitors based on the outskirts of Birmingham who specialise in Employment law.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for the business, including answering the phone and assessing what to do with each call. Handle new enquiries with friendliness and sensitivity, including speaking to emotional prospects.
- Support the team with legal admin, such as transcribing notes, liaising with clients, sourcing quotes, formatting documents, chasing information, and creating bundles using Adobe or Bundledocs. Manage admin-focused matters like settlement agreements and drafting handbooks.
- Use the CRM system, Clio, to keep records updated and facilitate communication. Tasks include creating matters, drafting and sending CCLs, uploading documents, managing key dates, and completing identity checks.
- Manage the office environment, including handling post, secure filing, and liaising with external suppliers for stationery supplies.
- Assist with planning team days and events, and book training sessions for the legal team.
- Review and update information in business listings such as Review Solicitors and Three Best Rated.
- Monitor company reviews, respond to positive reviews, share them with the team, and escalate negative reviews to managers.
