Hours: 32 hours per week
Shift: Late 5 shifts a week between Monday - Saturday 14:00pm to 20:00pm, Morning 5 shifts a week between Monday - Saturday 10:00am to 16:00pm
The Royal Mail is a much-loved brand, providing postal delivery services to 64 million people all around the UK. Due to an increase in demand, Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail to source professional Delivery Drivers to support with their busy operation. This is your opportunity to have a real impact, in the heart of your community!
About the Parcel Delivery Driver role:
- You will start your day in the local delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for your route.
- You will collect your allocated vehicle and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the mail and parcels to your local community.
- Shift lengths are 6 hours per day.
About You:
- The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.
- You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
- You will enjoy working outdoors and due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.
- You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.
Previous Experience:
- Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.
- You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.
Driving licence requirements:
- A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- Unfortunately, we are unable to accept IN/DD/DR/CD endorsements.
