Location: Okehampton / Tavistock / Cullompton
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Fixed term until April 2026

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Housing Officer to manage a defined neighbourhood patch. Acting as the primary relationship manager for residents, you will deliver high-quality front‑line housing services, manage tenancy matters, and help maintain safe, welcoming communities. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners, support new housing developments, and play a key role in resident engagement and neighbourhood sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service, responding to tenancy queries and permissions
- Conduct tenancy sign‑ups, viewings, and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements
- Manage tenancy breaches, including safeguarding concerns
- Oversee estate standards and service contracts to ensure value for money
- Promote resident engagement and support community development initiatives
- Work collaboratively to maintain positive neighbourhood environments
About You
- Experience in social housing, including tenancy, estate, and housing management
- CIH Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- A strong customer focus with a drive to improve satisfaction
- A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
