We’re looking for an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join our clients fast-paced logistics operation in Newark. This is a key role where you’ll ensure drivers, vehicles, and routes are planned efficiently to keep daily operations running smoothly.
What hours will I be working?
You will be working office hours of 08:00 – 17:00 each day. There is a choice of two shift patterns (these do not rotate) either Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday.
How much will I be paid?
You will be paid £15:00ph.
What will I be expected to do?
- Create and manage daily and weekly driver and vehicle plans
- Allocate drivers, vehicles, and routes to meet operational demands
- Manage rotas, holidays, and last-minute changes
- Monitor live operations and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Ensure full compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) and driver hours
- Maintain accurate data and reports using TMS and Excel
What skills and experience will I require?
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
- Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance
- Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Able to remain calm, organised, and decisive in a fast-paced environment
