We are currently seeking an experienced MIG / TIG Welder for a manufacturing outfit, offering a long-term position in South Birmingham with free parking available. This role is for a temporary to permanent position. The MIG / TIG welder must be experienced in working on thin to medium gauge metals, as the work will sometimes require a light touch and attention to detail/quality is of very high importance. Knowledge of Tungsten Inert Gas welding is essential, whilst any experience of MIG / Arc welding would prove beneficial. Aluminium OR Stainless Steel experience is essential - purely mild steel backgrounds may also apply.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and populate QIR's (Quality Inspection Reports)
- Operate computer system creating excel spreadsheets when checks have been completed
- Ability to communicate efficiently with customers
- Understanding of adhering to targets and KPI's due to time restraints
- General housekeeping, keeping all areas tidy and adhering to health and safety processes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in manual welding
- Working to Engineering Drawings
- Experience welding Aluminium and/or Stainless Steel
- Use of hand tools to polish and neaten the metal once welding has taken place
- Knowledge of health and safety processes

The hours for this role will be Monday to Thursday 0700 - 1530 and Fridays will be 0700 - 1200. Paid at a rate of £16.00 per hour.
