Join us as a Project Manager Apprentice, you'll gain handsāon experience across the full project life cycle with the Capital Delivery team and earn a Level 6 Project Management qualification. What you'll be doing as a Project Management Apprentice:
- Work with experienced Project Managers to apply Thames Water's fiveāstage project process
- Monitor progress, analyse performance, and proactively address issues and opportunities
- Learn and apply Health & Safety, OFWAT, DWI, and Environment Agency standards
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and develop communication and engagement skills
- Take on a challenging learning curve with opportunities to grow throughout the apprenticeship
- Lead projects contributing to Thames Water's Carbon Net Zero 2030 ambitions
Where you'll work:
- Location: Hampton
- Hours: 36āhour week over four working days plus one training day
- Start date: Sept 2026
Training and qualification:
- You'll study with the University of Cumbria, a leading UK project management provider, through weekly online tuition, occasional faceātoāface sessions in Lancaster or Carlisle, and optional Project Manager Summer sessions.
- Qualification achieved: Project Manager Level 6 Apprenticeship Standard ā BSc Hons Project Management and APM PMQ qualifications
- Duration: Permanent contract with a 48āmonth structured programme
What you should bring to the role:
- Holds 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 9ā4 / AāC)
- 3 AāLevels or equivalent Level 3 BTEC (equivalent 96 UCAS points)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Business travel insurance
- Good communication and timeāmanagement skills
- Works well within a team as well as independently
