Salary: £48,000 – £53,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, immediate start for the right candidate following successful interview process.
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s expanding manufacturing site in Ledbury. This is a key engineering role within the business, offering hands-on involvement across site operations, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement activities. You will work on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting production reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reactive breakdown support and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM/TPM)
- Maintain and fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled machinery
- Support site services including pneumatics, water, and steam systems
- Work closely with production during operation of the seasonal fruit pressing mill
- Accurately complete maintenance records and job reporting via SAP
- Participate in risk assessments, continuous improvement, and site projects
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and quality standards are consistently met
- Support engineering projects and upgrades as required
Skills & Requirements
- Time-served or qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Strong team player with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
- Comfortable working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Computer-literate (SAP experience advantageous)
- IOSH or safety training desirable
Education & Experience
- A-Level or equivalent qualification (essential)
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (minimum requirement)
- PLC fault-finding experience desirable
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience within manufacturing, FMCG, fruit pressing, or beverage production
- Previous experience working rotating shift patterns
