Pertemps Driving Division is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for ad-hoc work. This is a trunking role with no handball involved, providing excellent opportunities for experienced drivers looking for flexibility and competitive pay rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle for trunking deliveries.
- Adhere to all road transport regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including tachograph data and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with transport teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all loads are secured in line with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence with at least 2 years of UK driving experience.
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digi Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and WTD (Working Time Directive) regulations.
- No more than 6 penalty points (No DD, DR, IN, or TT endorsements).
- Reliable, flexible, and with a professional approach to work.
