HGV C+E Day trampers x2 required for a minimum of 6 months. Pertemps Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a global logistics provider based at HULL on the Docks. We are seeking x2 HGV C+E Tramper drivers with a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience on your licence to join their expanding team. This contract is one of the largest retailers and distributors of building materials for the professional segment in Europe with approx. 20,000 employees and 1,150 branches and distribution centres across the globe. (You will only be required to drive within the UK).
In return the HGV C+E Driver will receive a salary depending on your working hours:
- PAYE Drivers HGV C+E Class Days Monday to Friday: £16.40ph & £18.00ph after 8hrs
- UMBRELLA Drivers HGV C+E Class Days Monday to Friday: £19.00ph & £21.00ph after 8hrs
- PAYE Drivers HGV C+E Days Saturdays: £19.00ph Flat rates
- UMBRELLA Drivers HGV C+E Days Saturdays: £21.00ph Flat rates
- PAYE Drivers HGV C+E Days Sunday/Bank Holidays: £20.00ph Flat Rates
- UMBRELLA Drivers HGV C+E Days Sunday/Bank Holidays: £23.00ph Flat Rates
- NIGHTS OUT: £26.20pno
As the HGV C+E Driver your duties will include:
- Trunking between depot and RDCs.
- A safety-first approach to driving and ensuring loads are safely secured.
- Completing daily delivery paperwork and logbooks.
- Start times around 4-6am on a Monday.
- Pulling curtains back on trailers.
- Strapping loads (Legal requirement).
To be a successful HGV C+E Driver you will have the following skills and experience:
- HGV C+E entitlement, CPC Card up to date & a Digi card.
- Held your licence for at least 2 years and be clear of DR, CD & IN endorsements, for insurance purposes.
- Experience with curtain side trailers.
- Knowledge of the UK roads.
- Fluent in English reading & writing.
All rates can vary depending on how you would like to get paid. PAYE you accrue holiday pay on top of your hourly rate & Umbrella is paid at a higher rate but no holiday pay.
