An established and fast-paced engineering/manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead, motivate and drive performance within a busy production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys developing people, and takes pride in delivering high-quality output safely, efficiently and on time.
To be successful, you will come from a similar manufacturing, automotive, engineering or remanufacturing environment and will have proven experience managing teams of 15+ staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage and motivate a team of technicians to deliver work to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
- Ensure production schedules are met in line with customer requirements and overall business demands.
- Monitor and manage labour, materials and resources to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
- Enforce all health & safety, quality and standard operating procedures consistently.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, proposing solutions and supporting implementation.
- Maintain a clean, structured and well-organised workshop environment at all times.
- Set the standard through strong personal conduct, professionalism and leadership presence.
- Ensure output remains consistently high quality while maintaining productivity targets.
- Accurately record daily job activity using internal systems.
- Handle people management matters with professionalism, fairness and attention to detail.
- Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor / Production Supervisor / Team Leader within a similar industry.
- Demonstrable experience managing teams of at least 15 people.
- Strong working knowledge of QHSE legislation and best practice.
- Confident managing resources, workloads and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable using MS Office, particularly Excel.
- A proactive leader who leads by example and maintains high personal standards.
