I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-owned food business for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to cover the East of Scotland, with a focus on Edinburgh and Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales-driven professional with foodservice or hospitality experience to manage and grow a portfolio of high-profile existing accounts, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities within the hospitality and premium catering sectors.
As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships and increasing brand presence across your region. This is a field-based role, working remotely with customers, with monthly travel to the Ayrshire head office. You’ll work closely with commercial kitchens and food-led businesses, using menu insight and customer understanding to identify opportunities and deliver high-quality food solutions from a specialist production and distribution operation.
Key Responsibilities- Maximise revenue and profit from existing customer accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitality and premium catering
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Develop tailored sales strategies, product mixes and business plans for each account
- Prepare and manage accurate budgets, forecasts and performance reports
- Conduct regular face-to-face customer meetings and performance reviews
- Prepare and present business proposals and follow through on agreed actions
- Negotiate and maintain customer product files
- Drive sales growth at unit level in line with agreed head office arrangements
- Achieve agreed KPIs across sales, margin, retention and new business
- Salary £40,000–£45,000
- £5,000 car allowance plus mileage
- 20% bonus paid quarterly based on sales targets
